Tea Quiz: Test Your Tea Knowledge

by oshceylontea.com 3 min read 11005 comments

Being and staying well is on everyone’s mind right now considering the crazy times we live in with the global pandemic situation. In a nutshell, wellness is best defined as a state of being healthy in body and mind. Incorporating herbal teas for wellness goals in your everyday life is a great way to reduce stress, and get potential health benefits. Wellness teas are usually made from herbs, flowers, bark, or mushrooms and are quite easy to include in your daily routine.

Perfect place to enjoy a wonderfully creative pot of tea with mouth-watering, freshly baked delights on a three-tiered plate to share! I highly recommend it.

What is Wellness?

Defined as ‘the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.’ by Oxford Languages or as ‘the active pursuit of activities, choices, and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health’ by the Global Wellness Institute.

It is not a static state, it’s more of a pursuit where we constantly work toward an optimal state of health and wellbeing that extends beyond physical health, including emotional, mental, spiritual, environmental, and social too.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.

What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I could never work out what an e/w return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and you get returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at matched betting odds calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that really shifted things for me was the nerdier bits. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design is pretty plain — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

OK — been on this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally do football and horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never figure out what an each way payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at odds probability calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that genuinely shifted things for me was the nerdier extras. There’s an probability calculator that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout is very functional, let’s say — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

OK — been using this thing for about four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never figure out what an e/w payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, either odds format. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it lives at overround calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that really made a difference were the nerdier tools. They’ve got an implied probability converter which shows you the overround, and a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The design is pretty plain — no polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable though the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Bookmark added with a small mental note that this is a site to keep, and a look at LastMinute-Corporate reinforced the keep status, the verb keep rather than visit captures something about how I think about this kind of site and it is a higher tier of relationship than I have with most places online today.

Worth recommending broadly to anyone who reads on the topic, and a look at MotoCitee only confirms that, the rare combination of accessibility and depth in this site makes it suitable for both newcomers and people who already know the area which is hard to pull off in any blog format today and rarely managed.

Thanks for treating the topic with the seriousness it deserves without becoming pompous about it, and a stop at eleanakonstantellos continued that balanced treatment, the gap between earnest and self serious is huge and writers who can stay on the right side of it earn my respect when I find them online today.
